Before you start your repair make sure you have a flathead driver or a coin to turn the locks. Also, unplug your vacuum. The new technology implented in these newer models of Shark vacuums make it hard for the consumer to replace the Brushroll like the previous models. The manufactures replace it for you.     • Make sure to turn off the vacuum and unplug it from the outlet.

    • Push down on the bottom of the vacuum so it can dangle.

    • Using a flathead screwdriver to turn the lock counterclockwise, then open the cover to access the brush roll.

    • Clear out any debris and close up the bottom using the previous steps.
