If your Sony WH-CH700N headphones have pads that are worn or need to be replaced, use this guide to replace them.

When the cover becomes brittle and tears off of your WH-CH700N headphones, the pads need to be replaced as the memory foam is left exposed. Here's how to replace the covers and extend the life of your headphones!

Before beginning, make sure to power off your headphones completely and disconnect from any external power source.

Replacement Ear Pads Cushions for Sony WH-CH700N Over-the-ear Headphones

Schritt 1

Identify the free edge of the ear pad.

Schritt 2

Gently pull the free edge up.
Slight pressure is needed, but there is no glue.
Fully remove the ear pad.
If yours are more deteriorated, make sure to remove all excess material.

Schritt 3

Repeat with the other side.

Schritt 4

Gently wipe the exposed surface with an alcohol swab or microfiber cloth.
Do not scrub hard in order to avoid damaging the headphones.

Schritt 5

Identify the wider part of the headphone pad.

Schritt 6

Find the lip of the leather replacement pad.
Line up the new ear pad with one side of the exposed headphones, wider end towards the top.
Gently stretch one end of the ear pad over one end of the headphone.
You can anchor on the top of the ear pad by tilting the headphone out at an angle.

Schritt 7

Work your way around the ear pad, pulling the leather over the lip.
Pull from the inside out so that the leather catches on the lip.
You can use your whole hand as a grip to make sure that the leather does not slip off.
