Sometimes a CMOS battery needs to be replaced or re-seated - in this laptop, that’s a fairly simple and straightforward process. You’ll need a PH0-head screwdriver and a plastic tool to pry the battery from its socket.

    • Rotate the laptop so that the battery cavity faces away from you.

    • Unscrew the single PH0-head screw connecting the center panel to the laptop.

    • This screw does not need to be completely removed, as it's permanently attached to the device.
