Although professional grade drones are built to be robust, accidents and wear and tear may occur. Sometimes, it can be bad enough to cause the drone arm/motor to stop functioning, preventing operation of the drone. The drone arm suspends the propeller, allowing it to create lift for the drone unimpeded. Damage to this arm may prevent the propeller from working properly. This guide will show you how to replace a bad or broken drone arm on your Yuneec Typhoon H Plus drone. No special skills will be required to perform this replacement.

Flip the drone over so the bottom is facing upwards.
-
Remove ten 9.5mm Hex 2 screws attached to the bottom shell.

Carefully detach the top billit piece from the drone. There are internal clips that need to be detached from the top piece in order for the entire unit to come off.
-
Once the lid is off, detach the wire that holds the lid to the body. Press down on the clip and slide the wire out.
-

-
Find the base of the arm you are replacing and remove the electrical tape.
-
Disconnect the red, black, and blue wires. Also disconnect the white clip that is associated with those same wires.

-
-
Find the pin that holds the arm by pulling down the bottom shell. Use a Hex bit 2 screwdriver to remove it
-
After removing the pin, pull the arm and wires out of the drone.

-
Use the wrench tool from the Yuneec drone box to remove the bottom cap from the motor mount. Twist clockwise until it pops; then it will slide out easily.

-
-
Disconnect the electrical board from the wire and thread the clip through the arm to the side with the motor to remove the entire motor/wire assembly.
-
After both sides of the wire are on the side with the motor, pull the wires through the length of the arm.
-
-
-
Remove the small Phillips #000 screw that holds the arm clip in place.
-
Use iFixit's metal spudger to pry up on the clip to release it from the arm and pull it out with your fingers.

To reassemble your device, follow these instructions in reverse order.

Would this be the same process for the Yuneec H520?
