Background and Identification

Allied Healthcare was founded in 1930 and is one the of the leading manufacturers of gas construction equipment, respiratory therapy equipment, home healthcare products, and emergency medical supplies. Beginning as a provider of medical gas delivery systems, Allied Healthcare grew by acquisition during the 1980s and 90s, leading to their IPO in 1992. More than half of in wall mounted gas delivery systems in hospitals today were installed by Allied Healthcare. Since 1994, Allied has been a leader in the ventilator industry and continues to be to this day.

The Omni-Vent Series D is a small, white ventilator that can be recognized by its large pressure indicator and three small knobs on the front. It can be distinguished from the similar Omni-Vent Series D/TAU by its mechanical reading of pressure instead of a digitized reading on the D/TAU. The model number can be found underneath the device and it only comes in a white color scheme.
