Background and Identification
The Apple Extended Keyboard (model number MB110LL/A or MB110LL/B) is a USB-A extended keyboard with an aluminum body and a numeric keypad. Apple keyboards are designed to be compatible with Mac products. The Extended Keyboard features an extended layout with document navigation controls for scrolling and full-size arrow keys for playing video games. There are many similar-looking keyboards available from other manufacturers that are also compatible with Mac devices.
Each key on an Apple Extended Keyboard includes a scissor mechanism for increased stability. The keys are designed with a low profile for improved user comfort. Apple sells some wireless Extended Keyboards that include built-in, rechargeable batteries. These wireless keyboards are advertised to last up to a month without being charged. For wired Extended Keyboards, the keyboard is connected to the desktop using a USB-A cord. Wireless keyboards use Bluetooth to connect to Bluetooth-enabled Mac computers with macOS 10.12.4 or later. The wireless keyboards can also support iOS devices with iOS 10.3 or later. For the wired Extended Keyboard, no batteries are required for use.
The Apple Extended Keyboard was sold in silver and space gray body colors. It is made with an aluminum body with a numeric keypad, special function keys, and document navigation controls.
