Background and Identification
The TF101 is a dockable, 10 inch tablet. In terms of appearance, it is very similar to Asus’s other tablet, the Transformer Infinity. The best way to distinguish these two is by their thickness. The TF101 is a tiny bit slimmer, .4mm in depth to be exact. The pad weighs 585g, which is 13g less than the Infinity weighs. The touch display screen is 10.1 inches, but you can connect this device to a dockable keyboard so that it appears more like a laptop computer.
The battery is lithium ion and is not made to easily removed. The back of the device is armed with a 5mp camera, and a 1.2mp front camera. The processor is a 1.9GHz quad-core NVIDIA Tegra 4. There is a mini HDMI port that allows you to connect to a TV or larger monitor, and a USB port for charging. There’s also an SD card slot.
There is no cellular connectivity for the TF101, meaning you will need to connect the device to Wi-Fi in order to use applications requiring internet.
