Background and Identification
The Asus VivoBook X202E is a low-price laptop with touchscreen support. It was first released in late 2012. The chassis of the X202E is made from aluminum and plastic with a wedge shape where the front edge is much thinner than the back edge. Internally, the laptop uses a 3rd-generation Intel Core i3 processor. The 11.6-inch screen has a resolution of 1366x768 pixels and is powered by the integrated graphics featured on the aforementioned processor.
The X202E has no access hatch on the bottom, but you can remove the whole bottom cover with a Phillips screwdriver. The main removable parts inside are the standard 2.5-inch hard drive (which you can replace or swap for an SSD) and the battery. The laptop uses a standard mini PCIe wireless card as well, so you should be able to swap that if need be. Unfortunately, all the memory for the laptop is soldered directly to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded.
To identify this laptop, look on the bottom side for a sticker containing the model number “X202E.” If you can’t find the model number, find the serial number instead and enter it on Asus’s warranty status check webpage to get exact information on your device.
