The SoundDock portable was similar in concept except it included a battery with a lifespan of up to 14 hours. In 2008, Bose released the SoundDock Series II. The SoundDock Series II was compatible with Apple’s iPhone. In 2009, Bose released the SoundDock 10. This device had a remote control and could play music through Bluetooth with an additional adapter.
Bose SoundDocks are large speakers with a device dock. They are designed to sit on a desk, nightstand, tabletop, etc. The device dock charges the connected device while playing music through the speaker. Bose SoundDocks are made for Apple products, like the iPod and iPhone. Bose SoundDocks have the Bose logo on the front center of the device, just below the charging dock.
