Background and Identification
The Canon PowerShot A95 is a point-and-shoot digital camera made by Canon. Canon is a Japanese corporation that specializes in optical, imaging, and industrial products like lenses, cameras, scanners, printers, and medical equipment. The A95 model is the successor to the 4.1-megapixel Canon PowerShot A80.
The Canon PowerShot A95 looks similar to the A80 model and features many of the same exposure settings and options. However, the A95 model includes a larger 5.0-megapixel CCD (charge-coupled device) with a maximum resolution of 2,592 by 1,944 pixels. This resolution allows users to print to 8- by 10-inch pages with improved detail. The camera also features a 1.8-inch LCD monitor and a custom shooting mode that allows users to save a specific set of exposure options that can be recalled. It features a 7.8-23.4mm lens with a three-times optical zoom range. Aperture ranges can be manually or automatically adjusted between f/2.8 to f/8.0 depending on the zoom setting.
The Canon PowerShot A95 is made of an all-plastic, two-toned silver body. The camera comes with a wrist strap for security while taking photos. The camera includes the name “Canon” printed in the upper left-hand corner of the camera’s front face. The model name “PowerShot A95” is printed vertically on the left-hand side of the camera’s face. The lens’s specifications are printed on the outside of the camera’s lens.
