Background
Coolpad Group Limited (stylized coolpɑd) is a telecommunications equipment company with headquarters based in China. The company was founded in 1993 as Yulong Computer. The name was changed to China Wireless Tech. in 2002 and the company started to manufacture mobile phones. The final name change to Coolpad Group Limited was in 2013. Coolpad was mainly represented on the Chinese market until 2017. In 2018, Coolpad tried to establish itself on the American market.
