Background & Identification
Craftsman® is a trademark line of tools originally registered by Sears in 1927 and now owned by Stanley Black & Decker. Craftsman tools are made in America with global materials being manufactured in a handful of states across the U.S. Craftsman has multiple lines of tools ranging from power tools, hand tools, and automotive tools. Each of these lines is produced by a different manufacturer in a different location.
Craftsman has sold a number of Miter Saws over the years so it is important to identify the correct model number prior to attempting any repairs. The Miter Saw should have a decal or sticker on the motor housing that lists the model number. If a model number cannot be found then reference any old paperwork that might have come with the Miter Saw. The model number for this specific Miter Saw is no longer registered on the Craftsman website. Reference the provided Operator’s Manual and links in the ‘Additional Information’ section below for more information on how to identify and repair your Craftsman Miter Saw.
There is not a lot of information that can be found for this specific model aside from the content provided below. Craftsman has made many different Miter Saw models over the years and most of the models that can be found look very similar to one another. Some replacement parts should be interchangeable for different models, but not all parts will work for every model. The Operator’s Manual does not provide specific distinct features for this model so it is important to find anything that can set your model apart. Consider verifying the technical specifications listed below like the motor, rotating table range, and the blade diameter and arbor.
