Background

The Craftsman Nailer 35118174 is a nailer used for small construction and assembly projects. Nailers were first introduced during the 1950s, but the handheld design that is used today was not introduced until the 1960s. Today, hundreds of different nailers are available for multiple uses. The use of nailers varies by the gauge size of the nails it holds.

Nailers of this size are often used for smaller projects because of their use of 18 gauge nails. The projects that can be completed by the Craftsman Nailer 35118174 include installing crown molding, baseboards, cabinets, chair rails, decorative trim, millwork, and hardwood flooring.

Identification

To identify the Craftsman Nailer 35118174, the top of the nailer on the left-hand side contains the Craftsman logo. The slotted reservoir is on the front side of the nailer (the opposite side of the handle). A lever to release/lock the slotted reservoir is located behind the reservoir at the bottom.
