Background and Identification
The Dell Inspiron 1500 (also called the 15 5000) is a laptop computer designed for home-entertainment with a narrow border for a wider viewing area. Dell Latitude is a series of business laptops primarily designed by Compal and Quanta. Dell launched the Latitude line in the early 1990s with the XP series. There are various sub-series within the Dell Latitude line. The components in Dell Latitude laptops are designed nearly identically from model to model so consumers can easily maintain their devices.
The Dell Inspiron 1500 is available with a range of Intel processors (from the 1.86GHz Celeron M M540 up to the T7500 2.2GHz Core 2 Duo). It runs on the Windows 10 Home operating system. It includes an array of ports including an HDMI port, an SD card slot, and two USB 3.1 1st Generation ports. It also features a fingerprint reader and a backlit keyboard.
The name “Dell” is printed in capital letters in the center of the computer’s bottom bezel. “Dell” is also printed inside of a circle in the center of the computer’s backing. The 15 5000 model features a silver-grey base with a darker grey top.
