Background and Identification
The Dewalt Stapler model DWMIIIFN (2016) is a hardwood flooring cleat nailer used for floor nailing. The nailer is made by DeWalt, an American international producer of hand tools and power tools for woodworking, manufacturing, and construction. This model is generally purchased as a kit with the stapler, mallet, base plates, and pre-finished flooring adapter foot.
The DWMIIIFN model features a pneumatic (air) power that drives nails and cleats into wood flooring. The DWMIIIFN model drives 16-gauge L-shaped flooring cleats using the mallet-actuated pneumatic operation. The device can hold up to 110 cleats at a time and is specifically designed for use with solid hardwood flooring and engineered hardwood flooring.
The DWMIIIFN model features a wide base with rollers to avoid damage to finishes on flooring and also helps stabilize the device. It has an aluminum housing for durability and multiple handle options for user comfort.
The DWMIIIFN model can be identified by its yellow body and black handle and base. The device includes the name “DeWalt” printed in black capital letters on the side of the yellow body. The model name “M III” is stamped below the DeWalt name, and other identifying information can be found in small font on the portion of the base that points out at a 45-degree angle from the floor.
