Background and Identification
The Drager Babylog 2000 is a ventilator meant for newborns and premature children with weights under 6kg. Since neonates require more precise volume and pressure controls, the Babylog 2000 is tuned for these smaller and more delicate patients. It has multiple capabilities of how it transfers air. It also has a feed gas mixing function.
The Drager Babylog 2000 is easily identifiable as it has the name and model designation “Drager Babylog 2000” printed on the top left corner of the face of the device. The Babylog has multiple dials on the front face as well as a pressure gauge. The device is rectangular, with a small arc on the top containing a carrying handle. The device is white and has most of its functionality on its thinner faces which include the valves and valve controls for ventilation purposes.
