Background

The Dräger Fabius Tiro is an anesthesia machine. The Fabius Tiro was released in 2005 and is a condensed version of the Fabius anesthesia machine series. Dräger, a German medical and safety technology manufacturer, created and manufactured the machine. This anesthesia machine is noteworthy, as it features an electric e-vent ventilator, which allows for significantly less gas use and a much longer lifespan for caring for a patient. The Fabius Tiro comes in three versions: a trolly, wall and ceiling version to meet the specific needs of the medical professional.

Dräger is a global company running its operations in about 50 countries. Therefore, the Fabius Tiro is widely available around the world. The intended demographic for this product would be medical institutions, such as hospitals or surgical offices, that need a compact and efficient way of delivering anesthesia to patients. Furthermore, the price for the Fabius Tiro will vary, depending on the specific needs and the country it is being purchased in.

The previous models in the Fabius series were made for larger environments with more extensive gas availability. Because of the Fabius Tiro's piston ventilator, it consumes less gas and requires fewer gas cylinders compared to the previous Fabius models' bellows piston. Furthermore, the Fabius Tiro's piston ventilator enables functionality in the event of a gas supply failure to ensure the patient stays ventilated.
