Device Identification:
The Dräger Primus is an anesthesia workstation designated by model number SW 4.5n. The device includes a full suite of tools and devices to ventilate, monitor, and provide anesthesia to patients. The workstation is housed on a mobile rack which can be wheeled about as needed, and has room for various attachments and for gas tanks on the rack.
The Primus uses a the in-house user interface that is shared among other Drager platforms. This allows for a short and familiar learning process, despite being equipped with newer technology. It also means that technicians and experts trained in repairing the older devices can translate the same skills into repairing and operating the Primus.
This device is equipped with the E-Vent plus ventilator.
