Background and Identification
The Dräger Vamos® / Vamos® plus is a small lightweight anesthetic gas monitor produced by Dräger, an international medical company founded in Germany 1889. The device is responsible for displaying the concentration of gases that are used in operations where the patient requires anesthetics. Carbon dioxide, nitrous oxide, and volatile anesthetic gas concentrations are the gases that the device measures, monitors, and displays.
The Dräger Vamos® / Vamos® plus can be identified by its name that is imprinted on the bottom left of the device. If there is no imprint due to any reason, the screen of the device begins about ¼ front the left and takes up about ⅔ of the surface. The location of the control knob is near the bottom right corner of the display screen and towards the right of the power indicator.
