Background and Identification
The Dyson DC34 is a bagless, battery-powered, handheld vacuum that is designed for quick pickups in the kitchen, office, or car. The DC34 can run for about 15 minutes on the standard power mode and for 6 minutes on Max Power mode. The vacuum includes a 22.2-Volt lithium-ion battery that is advertised to recharge three times faster than other batteries. It also features Dyson’s patented Root Cyclone technology.
The Dyson DC34 includes a 0.09-gallon collection bin that can be emptied by pushing a button on the vacuum. It comes with a Combination accessory (for cleaning upholstery and drapes) and a Crevice tool (which helps users get into harder to reach corners). Dyson recommends regularly rinsing the vacuum’s filter under cold tap water until the water runs clear and then allowing the filter to fully dry for at least 12 hours. To maintain suction, Dyson recommends emptying the vacuum’s bin as soon as debris reaches the MAX marker. Dyson does not recommend picking up water or other liquids with the DC34 vacuum.
The Dyson DC34 vacuum includes a shiny grey handle and suction arm. The vacuum’s body is generally either grey or gold in color, and its collection bin is transparent so that users can see inside and not overfill the bin. A red button on the side of the vacuum, next to the collection bin can be pressed to release the contents of the collection bin.
