Background and Identification
The Dyson DC61 is a bagless, battery-powered, handheld vacuum that is designed for quick pickups in the kitchen, office, or car. It is a miniature motorized vacuum cleaner that is advertised as capable of removing hair and dirt from upholstery and confined spaces. Dyson Ltd. is a British company that designs and manufactures household appliances such as vacuum cleaners, air purifiers, hand dryers, bladeless fans, heaters, hairdryers, and lights.
The Dyson DC61 is powered by the Dyson digital motor V6, a 350-Watt motor with two-tier radial cyclones. The battery is designed to provide fade-free power, meaning that it will not lose power until it needs to be charged again. The Dyson digital motor V6 spins up to 110,000 times per minute to create suction. The DC61’s 2 Tier Radial cyclones feature 15 cyclones arranged across two tiers that work in parallel to increase airflow and capture fine dust. The vacuum features a boost mode that can be activated by pushing the “MAX” button to select power. The boost mode provides six minutes of higher suction. The Dyson DC61 features a one-touch empty bin, meaning users can push the bin button to release captured dirt.
The Dyson DC61 includes a shiny grey handle and suction arm. The vacuum’s body is generally either grey or silver in color, and its collection bin is transparent so that users can see inside and not overfill the bin. A red button on the side of the vacuum, next to the collection bin can be pressed to release the contents of the collection bin.
