Background and Identification
The Epson Stylus Pro 9900 is a photographic inkjet printer released by Epson in 2008. It weighs 284 pounds, is 48 inches tall, and is 74 inches wide. This printer has a depth of 26 inches.
The Stylus Pro is made for for producing high quality large scale prints at a fast speed. This model claims speeds up to twice as fast as its predecessor and uses nozzle verification to prevent clogging. This model can handle any media type up to 44 inches wide (with a minimum of 8 inches). It can also handle media with a thickness up to 1.5mm.
The printer uses a MicroPiezo TFP print head with Epson UltraChrome HDR ink, which provides a wide color gamut.
The Stylus Pro 9900 does not use media tube shafts. The user operates a lever to adjust the diameter core before locking hubs on the ends of the roll. You then load media into a compartment on the top of the device. There’s also an accessible control panel.
