Background and Identification
The EZ-Cable Installer TP400CL3 installs wire or cable while backfilling and digging a trench. It is designed for the installation of low voltage wirings such as landscape lighting and underground pet containment fences. This cable installer includes caster steering on the rear wheels to make maneuvering the machine easier. It also features carbide cutting blades that can cut through soil, hard clay, and tree roots. The TP400CL3 model installs wire or cables 3.5 inches deep.
The TP400CL3 model can install cable or wire at a rate of 100 feet every five minutes. It includes a Honda GX200 gasoline-powered engine that produces 6.5 horsepower. For four-stroke engines, Honda recommends using unleaded 86 octane or higher fuel for this engine at a 50:1 gasoline to oil ratio. This model features a centrifugal wet clutch transmission designed to cushion sudden impacts and maximize power to the blades.
The TP400CL3 cable installer can be identified by its red and blue colors, as well as its three-wheeled design (two front wheels and one rear wheel). It is designed so the operator walks behind the machine. This model includes a rod that is used to hold the coil of wire to be installed. It also has a white fuel tank and black handles.
