Background and Identification

The Flight 50 Ventilator is a portable, all-purpose ventilator that is ideal for adult and pediatric ( infant, child, and adolescent) patients, greater than or equal to 10kg (22 lbs) in a range of care settings. It is suitable for use in hospital, sub-acute, emergency room, and home care environments, as well as for transport and emergency response applications.

Established in 1996, Flight Medical Innovations Ltd. specializes in the development, manufacturing and marketing of high-end versatile ventilators. Flight Medical’s flagship product is the Flight 60 ventilator and the well-known Flight 50 ventilator which was marketed as the HT50 ventilator up until January 2012.

The Flight 50 can be distinguished from other Flight Medical models by its smaller size and its extensive alarms. The Newport HT50 Ventilator is the predicate device to the Flight 60 ventilator. The Flight 60 ventilator is the most recent model released.
