Identification and Background

The Garmin GPS V was released in 2002. The Garmin GPS V is encased in a rectangular plastic shell. A white and yellow "GPS V" logo is printed on the scroll button on the front face. This is where the display and buttons are situated. A cylindrical plate protrudes from the back of the unit, housing the batteries.
