Background and Identification
The Pavilion DV6-1355DX is a portable laptop released in 2010 by HP. There are four built in USB ports, two of which are USB 3.0 capable, while the other two are USB 2.0. There is one input connector, an HDMI port, an ethernet port, and two audio outputs on the sides of the device. There is also a slot for an SD memory card in the front. This device lacks support for Bluetooth or 3G/4G connections. There is a webcam included at the top of the display.
HP advertises their partnership with “Beats Audio” for the speakers included in the laptop. To take advantage of this you will need to enable this option.
There are screws surrounding the shell allowing for easy removal of the battery or keyboard, and easy access to internal components. These screws are spread across multiple plastic sections, so depending on what part you need to fix, you may only need to unscrew certain sections. For example, the section housing the battery is separate from the hard drive.
