Background and Identification
The HTC U Ultra (also called the HTC Ocean Note) Android smartphone was released by HTC in February 2017. HTC is a Taiwanese consumer electronics company headquartered in New Taipei City, Taiwan. The HTC U Ultra includes models U Ultra, U-1u, and 2PZF1 and was released in black, pink, white, and blue body colors.
The HTC U Ultra features a 5.7-inch scratch-resistant touchscreen display with a resolution of 1440 by 2560 pixels. The phone features dual-SIM capabilities, meaning it can contain two Nano-SIM cards and function with one while the other is in standby. The U Ultra was released with 4 GB of RAM and either 64 GB or 128 GB of internal storage. It features a 12-megapixel main camera and a 16-megapixel front-facing camera. The U Ultra includes a non-removable 3000 mAh battery, meaning that the battery’s adhesive is permanent, making repair and replacement difficult, but not necessarily impossible.
The HTC U Ultra includes a scratch-resistant glass screen, a glass back, and an aluminum frame. The 64 GB version includes a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 display while the 128 GB version features Sapphire crystal glass. The phone features a two-inch secondary display with a resolution of 160 by 1040 pixels. It includes the name “HTC” in capital letters in the center of the phone’s backing. The rear-facing camera is located above the “HTC” name, and the flash LED is positioned to the right of the main camera.
