Background and Identification
This hammer is intended to be used for ‘floor-breaking’ work on concrete. It can be used for demolition purposes, or to remove concrete to create channels for pipes or rebar connections within a piece of concrete. Like a jackhammer, this breaker hammer works by vibrating an attached chisel or other tool while the user balances the hammer upright so that the chisel bores into the floor, breaking it up.
Vibrating hammers like this one can have several effects on the user’s health. This includes damage to the ears from the loud noise of the machine, as well as issues with the fingers and hands of the user due to vibration. Many manufacturers today employ vibration dampening methods to help protect the users. This machine uses Active Vibration Reduction (AVR) to reduce strain.
