Background and Identification

The Hilti Breaker TE 3000-AVR is an electro-pneumatic demolition jackhammer or concrete breaker. It uses a HEX 28 tool chuck and weighs 65 pounds. The ‘AVR’ in the demolition hammer’s model name indicates Active Vibration Reducing that is designed to make the hammer less tiring to use for operators. The breaker is designed for medium to heavy-duty demolition of foundations and concrete slabs, concrete removal for rebar, asphalt and road patchwork, and concrete penetration for pipes, electrical boxes, and HVAC.

The demolition hammer is generally sold with the TE 3000-AVR breaker (part number 2190678), a TE 3000 jackhammer trolley (part number 401293), two TE-H28P SM 40 16-inch pointed chisels (part number 2126919), two TE-H28P FM 40 16-inch flat chisels (part number 417826) and two supply cords (part number 2186609). The hammer also includes an optional Te DRS-3000 dust removal system that is advertised to collect up to 95% of dust produced while hammering. The chisels are self-sharpening and are stick-less in concrete.

The Hilti Breaker TE 3000-AVR has a red body and black handles on either side of the body. The name “Hilti” is printed vertically in white capital letters on the front of the breaker. The model “TE 3000-AVR” is printed underneath the Hilti brand name in white font.
