The Huawei Mate 20 lite Android smartphone was produced by Huawei as part of the Huawei Mate series. The Mate 20 lite was released in August 2018, several months before the flagship Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro models were unveiled in October 2018. The Mate 20 lite was available in blue, black, and gold variants.

The Mate 20 Lite features 4 GB or 6 GB of RAM and a 6.3-inch display. It sports a 3750 mAh non-removable battery and 64 GB of internal storage, expandable with available MicroSD cards. The phone has a glass front and an aluminum backing and frame. The Mate 20, the lite’s younger sibling, sports a glass backing and larger 4,000 mAh battery. The Mate 20 was available in a wider variety of body colors, including blue, black, green, and gold.

The Mate 20 lite includes a 24-megapixel front-facing camera and 20-megapixel rear-facing camera. Both cameras are accompanied by a depth-sensing sensor. The Mate 20 lite also features HDR technology on the phone’s front camera. The phone also includes Huawei’s fast-charging capabilities as well as a USB-C port, NFC, FM radio, a headphone jack, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. It also includes accelerometer, gyro, proximity, and compass sensors. The Mate 20 Lite has no splash-resistance rating.

While an Android Authority review praised the Mate 20 lite’s artificial intelligence features and overall design, they found that the phone has slow overall performance, an average camera, and an unimpressive face-unlock feature.
