Background and Identification
Released on July 21st, 2018, the Huawei Nova 3i is an Android smartphone manufactured by Huawei, a Chinese multinational technology company. The Nova 3i comes with a 6.3-inch FHD+ display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2340 pixels. The 409 PPI pixel density and 19.5:9 aspect ratio allow users to have a satisfying viewing experience. Moreover, the phone has dual primary cameras (16 MP + 2 MP) with PDAF and dual flash that allow for sharp and detailed photography. The front camera is also a dual camera (24MP + 2 MP). Users can also find a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for added security.
The Huawei Nova 3i was an awaited phone due to its use of the new Huawei HiSilicon Kirin 710. The chipset comes with two quad-core Cortex A53 processors which can achieve up to 2.2 GHz of clock speed. When first released, the Huawei Nova 3i ran with the Android 8.1 Oreo and Huawei’s EMUI 8.0, but was later upgraded to Android 9.0 Pie and EMUI 9.1. With 128GB of internal storage, users still have the option to expand their storage options up to 400 GB via microSD.
