nuheara.com shows the item on their web page but don’t mention that it is no longer supported.

It is notorious for a charger that often fails to push the buds down onto the charge electrodes, so they never charge properly. This eventually causes the buds batteries to fail, while the charger still indicates that the buds are okay.

Nuheara technical support on 2012.12.12 told me to FOAD, that they do not replace the batteries, and I’m welcome to spend another $US400 to buy the next upgraded model. The batteries are standard

Although intended for the hard of hearing, who are usually elderly, the app menus are grey text on a grey background with disappearing menus.

When these do work, they are fantastic.

The buds come apart with a plastic pick pushed gently but firmly along the seam edge.

Once partly open, gently tease out the bluetooth transmitter/receiver and antenna

The red circles need to be de-soldered to remove the battery.

The battery is a CP1654.

i recommend this two for $16.99. It looks like the original Varta brand battery and has a insulation over it.

Put a piece of foam on the new battery as a buffer, carefully close it up,
