Makita Cordless Screwdriver XSF03Z (2016)

This is the Makita (Lithium-Ion) Cordless Drywall Screwdriver. This is a 2016 Model XSF03Z. A Makita brushless motor powers it. This motor allows for longer battery life, and increased speed. The screwdriver has a lock-on mode that allows the motor to start only when the fastener is engaged which then gives this tool more battery life. The Makita Cordless Screwdriver has Extreme Protection Technology (XPT) which is used to improve dust and water resistance for extreme job site conditions

It’s most ideal for hanging sheetrock, metal framing, installing subfloors, backer board, and decking applications. They are also helpful when inserting and removing screws, and drilling holes if necessary.

The batteries and charger are sold separately. The batteries used for it are 18V Lithium-Ion slide-style batteries. They have the fastest charge times in their categories. This is ideal because you are able to spend more time working rather than waiting for them to charge. The XSF03Z can also be powered by Makita 18V LXT and Compact Lithium-Ion batteries with the star symbol on the battery which indicates Star Protection. Star Protection is a communication technology that allows this tool and battery to exchange data in real time. This allows the XSF03Z to be monitored and protects it against overloading, discharging, and overheating.
