Background and Identification
The Makita model DS4011 is a reversible spade-handle corded drill with an 8.5 Amp motor that delivers 600 revolutions per minute and can be used for drilling and mixing applications. The DS4011 model comes with a drill chuck (model 193229-6), a chuck key (model 763420-6), and a side handle (model 152492-0). The DS4011 includes a 1/2-inch drill chuck and all-ball bearing construction for durability. The drill includes a rocker switch for quick transitions between forward and reverse operation. A chuck key can be stored onboard the drill for faster bit changes.
The DS4011 model’s 600 revolution per minute speed provides more torque for drilling large holes. The drill’s D-handle rotates 360 degrees with 24 positive stops for multi-position operation. The drill also includes a rubberized handle grip for user comfort.
Depending on the material to be drilled, the drill has differing capacities. For auger bit wood, self-fed wood, hole saw wood, twist bit steel, and hole saw steel, the drill has a capacity of 1-3/8, 2-9/16, 5, 1/2, and 3 inches, respectively.
The Makita model DS4011 spade-handle drill can be identified by its teal body and black handles. The name “Makita” is printed in cursive font on the side of the drill. A black electrical cord comes out of the bottom handle.
