Background

The Ohmeda 7000 ventilator is an anesthesia ventilator that is pneumatically driven is electronically controlled.

Before the company was named Ohmeda in 1984, they were formerly known as the Ohio Chemical and Manufacturing Company that was founded in 1910

The Ohmeda 7000 was established in 1995

Some of the features of the Ohmeda 7000 include the following:

  • Separate from the driving gas circuit is the patient circuit
  • Included is a metal bellows assembly that can be sterilized
  • Controls for the operator to use, with linearly calibrated scales
  • The Ohmeda 7000 is compatible with both pediatric and adult bellows
  • The Ohmeda 7000 has audible alarms as well as visual alarms that inform the operator that there are abnormal conditions
