Background and Identification
The Datex-Ohmeda Centiva/5 is a critical care ventilator that maintains and supports patient breathing. The device, which offers both invasive and non-invasive options, can assist adult and pediatric patients.
Manufactured for GE Healthcare, the Centiva/5 has three major components: the main engine, control panel, and expiration valve. This software-controlled system offers volume-regulated, pressure-regulated, and spontaneous ventilation modes.
Only physicians or qualified medical professionals should operate the Centiva/5. A maintenance check for safety and proper function is suggested every 12 months.
The Centiva/5 is a compact ventilator that comes with two detachable display options.
