Background and Identification
The R9m, more commonly known as the R9 Plus, is a 6-inch smartphone produced by Oppo starting in March 2016. It is the sibling to the smaller R9, which has a more compact 5.5-inch screen. You can identify the R9m by looking for the model number etched in small print on the back of the device. You can also find the CMIIT ID (a unique number assigned by the China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology) on the back and use this CMIIT ID lookup website to retrieve more information about your model.
The R9 Plus features a Snapdragon 652 processor with eight cores. This Qualcomm chip works alongside 4 GB of memory on the motherboard. The phone has either 64 GB or 128 GB of built-in storage, but you can add more using a card in the microSD slot. Speaking of slots, the phone has two SIM slots specifically for a Nano-SIM card. This means you can use a separate business and personal number or keep a card with you for international travel.
The display is 6-inches on the diagonal and has a resolution of 1920x1080 pixels. It has 15.9 megapixel cameras on both the front and rear, but only the rear camera has support for 4K video capture. The phone charges via Micro USB and supports fast charging at 20 Watts using the VOOC 2.0 standard. Next to the USB port on the bottom of the phone is a 3.5 mm headphone jack.
