Background and Identification

The Penlon EMO is an ether vaporizer that has a thermal buffering and an automatic thermal compensation. The first was tested on February the 25th, 1974 in Papua New Guinea by Dr Loane but originally made in England. When preparing to use the Penlon EMO you need to fill in the water jacket and make sure to pour ether in the funnel shaped opening. Routine inspections need to be done for the Penlon EMO to make sure that everything is within the tolerances, as failure detection systems had not yet been invented. Routine inspections include level indicator, closing mechanism, filler, safety release valve, water compartment and temperature compensating unit.

The most latest release product from Penlon is the Prima 465 and Prima 320. These two products have been able to be released due to prima focusing on new product development. A Penlon EMO has a connecting mount and a connecting tube that looks like a long wire that keeps everything together. The water jacket plug has a very similar shape to a bowl and everything on top of it being an outlet, inlet, and many more components. The oxygen inlet is shaped similar to a sphere and beside it is an outlet cone and an inlet valve.
