Identification and Background

The Puritan Bennett 7200 ventilator, model number #47200AE, is a critical care ventilator, designed to deliver oxygen to patients as well as monitor their state. It was introduced by the Puritan Bennett company in 1983 as a more advanced, more efficient, and easier to use ventilator.

The 7200 ventilator is specifically useful due to its compressed air system and microprocessor technology which enables the ventilator to provide patients with quick oxygen delivery and patient monitoring. The 7200 ventilator also features a 7202 display screen. This allows information to be easily viewed as well as inputted through the use of the keyboard control panel.

Eventually, the Puritan Bennett 7200 model was largely replaced by smaller and more effective future models.
