Background and Identification
Released in April 2016, this version of the Samsung Galaxy J7 has the model number J710. The J7, like the rest of the J series, was discontinued in 2019 to make way for the A series of Samsung phones.
The J7 (2016) is almost exactly the same size and weight as the J7 (2015), but it introduced a metallic body, rather than the plastic body of the 2015 model. The cameras are also very similar, although the 2016 version has better technology for low-light photos. The phone was well received by critics for its improvements over earlier models, including better battery life, more RAM, and two options for chipsets (Qualcomm Snapdragon or Exynos).
