Background and Identification

The Sunbeam SM8900 blender wand is a compact kitchen appliance. It provides the same capacities of a regular blender but allows the user to have more control and movement.

The blender is long and tapers in and then out towards the bottom of the wand. It has two control buttons on top with the Sunbeam logo and model written directly beneath it. The top of the wand is black and comes with several attachments for various uses such as whisking and chopping. The wand and the blades are both constructed from stainless steel. There are 9 settings and a turbo function. When the wand is tilted there is a safety function that turns it off to avoid splashing or contact with the blades.

According to some reviews, the product breaks easily and quickly, with one user needing to replace the stainless steel shaft after a year. Another user reports that the motor of their blender blew up after 3 months. The positive reviews mentioned how easy it is to clean and use, especially for small dishes like soup, nuts, and herbs.

Sunbeam seems to have good customer support on their site as far as answering questions and offering refunds and replacements. The Sunbeam SM8900 is no longer manufactured by Sunbeam and is a discontinued item.
