Trek Bikes is an American bicycle manufacturer that offers a variety of road bikes, mountain bikes, women's bikes, hybrid bikes, and more. Trek bikes are fairly recognizable because they are commonly used during professional competitions.
Trek Bikes began in 1976 in Waterloo, Wisconsin, manufacturing steel touring frames and bikes to hit the mid to high-end market. The company expanded in 1980 and created a bigger factory in the outskirts of Waterloo, Wisconsin. Trek took an example from the aerospace industry and created its first bonded aluminum bike in 1989. In 1990, they also offered a 3-tube carbon composite model, the 2500. Trek also began to manufacture hybrid bikes that had both mountain bike and road bike features in 1990, along with the first line of Trek kids bikes. In 2000, Trek bikes offered female-friendly bike designs and accessories.
Trek bikes come in multiple colors and styles and has a variety of accessories such as lights, helmets, tires, and wheels, etc. They also make Trek apparel specifically for bike riders including shoes, jerseys, shorts, vests, pants, socks, etc.
