Background

The MK II Infant Flow Driver is a continuous positive airway pressure device (CPAP). CPAPs support positive airway pressure for individuals. Though other continuous positive airway pressure devices support individuals of all ages, the Mk II Infant Flow Driver is specifically designed for usage on infants. The Mk II Infant Flow Driver can be used to treat infants whose lungs have not been fully developed.

The Viasys Mk II Infant Flow Driver was created and designed by a healthcare company called Viasys Healthcare. Viasys Healthcare specializes in manufacturing respiratory, neuro-care, and other medical/surgical devices.

The Viasys Mk II Infant Flow Driver also has other prototypes, such as the M672B model, M672P, and finally the M672PA model, these models have different components like their power supplies. To highlight the common malfunctions, according to the guide; the Mk II Infant Flow Driver and the other models have a common battery/power supply/filtering malfunction that severely impacts the performance of the device, such as electronic modules not functioning at all.

Considering the device is intended for medical healthcare professionals, there are little to no reviews from the general public.

This device is mainly relevant in the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, the United States, and Europe. To highlight the price, the Mk II Infant Flow Driver and its other models roughly go around $ 900-1300 USD.

Identifications

The Viasys Mk II Infant Flow Driver has a screen in the Middle of the device. The screen consists of every important detail about the oxygen levels, alarm settings, and other technical health details for medical healthcare professionals.

At the bottom middle; right below the screen, you can see a white wheel. The white wheel gives you the option to change the levels of oxygen in the patient.

The Mk Infant Flow Driver also has an oxygen monitor that ranges from zero to one hundred percent level. The manometers can be identified on the right and left of the oxygen wheel. The manometers show the levels of oxygen pressure.

The right manometer is for high pressure while the left manometer is for low pressure.
Below each of the manometers, they have its own wheel to adjust the pressures.

Below the manometers, there are two ports, one is an XDCR port for an XDCR cable and the right port is a pHOX port.
