Background and Identification

The Xiaomi Redmi Note 8 Pro was released in August 2019 along with the Redmi Note 8 and Redmi Note 8T. The phones were developed by Redmi, a sub-brand of Xiaomi, Inc. The Note 8 Pro was released as the successor to the Redmi Note 7 Pro and the predecessor of the Redmi Note 9 Pro. The Note 8 Pro was released in black, red, blue, white, green-blue, dark blue, electric blue, and orange.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro includes 64 GB of internal storage and 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of internal storage and 6 GB or 8 GB of RAM, or 256 GB of internal storage and 8 GB of RAM. The Redmi Note 8 Pro was the first smartphone featuring a 64-megapixel main camera. The Pro also includes an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, a 2-megapixel macro lens, and a 2-megapixel depth lens. The Pro also features a 20-megapixel selfie camera. The Note 8 and Note 8T phones include 48-megapixel main cameras and 16-megapixel selfie cameras.

The Redmi Note 8 Pro features a non-removable 4500 mAh battery. (A non-removable battery is one whose adhesive is permanent, making repair and replacement difficult). The Note 8 and Note 8T include smaller 4000 mAh batteries. The Pro also supports 18-Watt fast-charging capabilities.

The Note 8 Pro includes a scratch-resistant glass front and back, and a plastic frame. It includes the name "Redmi" in the bottom center of the phone's backing. It also has quad main cameras aligned vertically in the center of its back.
