Background and Identification
The Yoga 520-14IKB is a 14-inch laptop released by Lenovo in 2017. Like other models in the Yoga lineup, the screen can fold almost 360 degrees to lie flat on the bottom of the keyboard. The laptop has touchscreen support and some models also include the ability to use a digital stylus on the display. Speaking of which, the display was sold with either a 1336x768 pixel or 1920x1080 pixel resolution. The denser screen uses an IPS panel which has better color accuracy than the lower-resolution option.
The Yoga 520-14IKB has many replaceable components inside, including the fans, single stick of memory, and the wireless card. The laptop supports both a standard 2.5-inch SATA drive for storage and an M.2 NVMe SSD, so you can customize the hardware to your liking. You can find replacement parts at the iFixit store. If you can’t find the repair guide you need on this page, many of the other Lenovo Yoga models have a similar internal design. You may find a useful guide on another page such as the Yoga 710-14IKB page.
Lenovo released the Yoga 520-14IKB with two case colors: gold and silver/gray. You can identify this laptop by looking for the words “Yoga 520-14IKB” printed on the bottom case near the Lenovo logo.
