First, heat up the back of the phone using a heat gun, iOpener, or this heating mat I have. If you are using a heating mat like I am, I recommend putting a suction cup on the front so you can take it off the rubber surface. If you are using a heat gun or a heating mat, set it to 80°C (176°F) for 90 seconds.

Quick, use a suction cup to rip off the adhesive! Put an iFixit opening pick to keep it open! Make sure to push the fingerprint sensor through while taking the adhesive off or you will rip the ribbon cable securing it.

Unscrew the 21 Phillips #000 screws securing the top and bottom. There are screws under the S’s.There is also one under the fingerprint reader. I was only able to take a picture of the top.

Disconnect the ribbon cables near the battery. Remove the 2 Phillips screws near the camera and near the top right corner.

Heat up the front of the phone to pry up the battery, this will be difficult so be patient as to not blow up the phone.

Peel off the cable securing the screen to the phone. Then heat the phone and use a suction cup to pull the screen away, make sure to pull the cable through the hole!
