I was browsing my attic for a teardown idea, but somehow found my old, non-working Nokia 2. Nokia 2 is a budget phone that has the lowest specs.

    • Prepare your tools before starting the repair.

    • I have a random multi-set screwdriver laying around, but it doesn't have T2 head.

    • Open the back casing with your fingernail or a plastic pick.

    • Once you disconnect the back casing, you can use a pry tool or some other kind of resistive tool to lift the back panel.

  3. xgHacPYLafoCX5J4
    • Unscrew the seven screws with your T5 screwdriver.

    • These screws should be removed with your T2 screwdriver.

    • Use a spudger or anything that is thin and sturdy (not a piece of paper).

    • A piece of paper is not ideal to remove the inner casing because it may rip. A ruler will also work.

    • Take your tool and place between the back cover and the device. Lift the tool until the motherboard is exposed.

    • Be careful when opening it! If you break the plastic, there is no way to reassemble it to make it new again.

    • This is the motherboard.

    • This is the big mammoth, the 4000mAH battery.

    • This is where our charging module sits.

    • This is the speaker itself.

    • This is where the Taptic Engine resides.

    • Before the moment of truth, let's detach more cables.

    • Do not break the flex cable. Damaging the flex cable may result in a non-working phone. Please be careful!

    • Use the spudging tool (used on step 5), Remove the battery from the slit shown and cut it.

    • The second picture shows what it will look like.

    • To avoid further damage, remove the screws first.

    • If you do not remove the screw and just proceed to the removal, you will damage the board, resulting in your phone being irreversibly broken.

    • The green marks the 1GB RAM made by SK hynix

    • The red marks the Qualcomm Snapdragon 212. Unfortunately, this chip only supports ARMv7 so you can only play a little bit of games

    • Use an iOpener and a spudger to open it.

    • If you can't afford those like me, you can use a hair dryer and some cards.

    • If you pry it open improperly, the LCD screen inside may be cracked, thus you'll have to do screen replacement to reconstruct it.

    • Here is the device fully broken down.
