Sorry Mi. Karcher, I lost the connection. You are light years ahead of me, who has no electronics experience. You speak of an SO5 which must have technology years ahead of the CFD-6. Also I know of diodes and transisters but would not be able act on the information in your reply.I only wanted to repair it to check CDs.

Could it be such old technology that it might be a bad connection. As I jiggle the mains lead I can get the green light to go On & Off.

At 83 I do not intend to buy a new one! Very many thanks Michael.

Kind Regards, Reggie Kidd

Sorry Ml. Karcher, I lost the connection. As a mechanical person I cannot act on your information.

You speak of SO5,not CFD-6. I simply thought it might be a bad connection. As I jiggle the mains lead I can get the green lightto go ON & Off.

This serial may tell you how old it is viz>1838642. At 83 I do not intend to buy a new one! Very many thanks,Michael.

Kind Regards, Reggie Kidd P.S. I shortened this a lot realising there should normally be a charge
