    • The iPad Pro 12.9" 4th Gen "earns a 3 out of 10 on our repairability scale (10 is the easiest to repair):

    • The USB-C port is modular and can be independently replaced.

    • The lack of a physical home button eliminates a common failure point and may simplify repairs.

    • The battery is secured with both easier-to-remove stretch-release tabs and conventional, non-removable adhesive.

    • The LCD and front panel glass are fused together—simplifying the opening procedure, but increasing the cost of repair.

    • Gobs of adhesive hold most everything in place, making all repairs more difficult.

Who manufactures the LiDAR hardware?

Shaun O'Flaherty -

Looks like a ToF not real LiDAR. Apple marketing spin again

https://tof-insights.com/time-of-flight-... Goes into details on pros and cons of a ToF versus LiDAR - and it appears there are many reasons why it makes sense to do a TOF LiDAR versus a full system when we are talking about a mobile device. Marketing spin, I hardly think so. It’s achieving the same functionality with many benefits on the device end.

Are the auto wake magnets in the exact same spots as they were in the iPad Pro 12.9 gen 3?

Janis Davisson -

Anyone knows where can I find an LCD screen for this device for a low price? Repair fees for out warranty devices are over £500.

Does anyone know how high the battery consumption of the LiDAR scanner is in the iPad?
