I attend UC Santa Barbara and completing my last year studying mathematics. My goals are to use my applied skills in mathematics to work in the field of data science as a data analyst. My long term goals are to attend graduate school in applied statistics and become a senior data scientist. My skills are in Python, R, SQL, Excel, linear algebra, and numerical analysis. My most recent project is with the Smithsonian Data Science Lab, where I analyzed data and created data visualizations in python to show the history of women researchers at the Smithsonian. Outside of preparing for a career in data science, I enjoy art, dance, yoga, great food, and collecting plants. I’m currently working with a team on the Sustainable Technology and Repair Initiative at UCSB as the data coordinator. This project is important to me because it utilizes a interdisciplinary approach to technology, equity, and sustainability to support our community.
